Manuals
Through my coursework, I have gained experience in writing training manuals for various organizational positions. Not only did these documents satisfy course requirements, but they will also be used in the organization to help train new officers.
Gamma Alpha Lambda Presidential Manual
My most recent project was a manual for running the sisterhood of Gamma Alpha Lambda (GAL) as president. This document is called "Leading the Flock" and was completed in May 2012. GAL previously lacked any kind of guide for new presidents aside from the official Bylaws, which can be difficult to navigate and understand. In this project, I was able practice more advanced design skills using Publisher 2010.

Gamma Alpha Lambda Rush Manual
In the Fall 2011 semester, I wrote a comprehensive manual entitled "All Things New" for leading the GAL rush process as vice president of rush. I have held this position since September 2011, and although I received a guide to the position, it was severely outdated. When I took ENG 321: Beginning Technical Writing at Missouri State University, I had the perfect opportunity to create a new manual. This document, which I created using Microsoft Word 2010, demonstrates my ability to compile information, write long documents, and create a consistent design.
