Small Groups
During college, I have led two women's Bible studies. The first was in Spring 2011, in which I led a Bible study about evangelism. For this, we read the book One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven. I prepared questions based on the information in the book as well as readings from actual Scripture passages. The second Bible study began in January 2012 and is currently in progress. We are studying three books from the New Testament: Philippians, James, and 1 John. For both groups that I have led, about 5-8 women have attended each week.
These experiences have taught me skills in studying and presenting Scripture as well as understanding of the importance of discipleship in Christian circles. I have learned to prepare discussions and activities based on the readings each week in such a way that members of the group can grow closer to God and one another.
